Behind STUDIO K DIXON

My name is Kavitaa. I am half English, half Danish, having lived between the Copenhagen and London, most of my life.

After getting a Distinction in Architectural Interior Design, at The Inchbald School of Design back in 2016, I have been honoured to work with some of the biggest players in the industry: Christine Rudolph, Honor Riley, who was a previous partner to Ilse Crawford, Louise Roe Copenhagen, Gunter and Co, Fiona Barratt and Cave Interiors. I have met, and learnt from so many other prestigious Architects and Landscape Artists.

In 2020, I finally decided to stand on my own two feet, where Studio K Dixon was born. Being primarily about Interior Design, it has grown into so much more. Studio K Dixon is now more of a creative hub, involving Social Media Management, Illustrations, Visual Identity, Web Development, Styling and of course, Interior Design.

My current projects lie with a DE&I consultancy firm, a company involving architectural facade design, and body and meditation therapists.

“Being an only child, I grew up with a lot of imagination, in a home full of creativity. I was lucky enough to go to an incredibly prestigious, and very magical school, which is really where my creativity took form, Hampton Court House. At this school, I made a very good friend. Her parents, an architect and interior designer, were one of the few people to have their very own, round house, right on the outskirts of London. This is where my eye for interior design took shape. I loved the organic shape of their house. The curved doors, large crittall windows, stainless steel kitchen, soft muted tones, and even fell in love with their bespoke pantry. It really was a dream home. Something that I now wish to recreate for people, from their own vision and dreams”
